Thank you for your interest in getting the most out of your WeDJ.com silver listing. We have implemented several new features over the past year and have found that many members are not using these features to showcase their business. Get ahead of your competition by updating your account today! While this email is a bit lengthy, it's currently the best source of information. Silver listings draw a fair amount exposure and INCLUDE features to help SELL your services once a visitor has been directed to your website. For the best exposure, we do recommend you consider upgrading to gold or purchasing a county banner. Banners have a low annual fee at the equivalent of less than $5 a month!
Use our Availability calendar (via Gigbuilder) as a front-page to a contact form. It has been proven by our members that many people WILL complete a contact form if they know you are available. This means MORE LEADS from your website visitors, regardless of how they got there! Our primary goal is to promote DJ, Videographer, and Photography companies and drive traffic to your website. However, you play an important part in this role with your listing. It must entice a prospect to want to visit your website in the first place. After logging into your account and clicking the "Edit Listing" button, you will see several menu tabs along the top of the page. Here are serval things you can do to increase your chances of getting this important web traffic:
General Tab: Start by assuring that all your information is correct in the general information section. As an added bonus, we will send you a complementary text message whenever a potential client provides their information on your gateway page if you provide your cell number. Verify all of your company information is correct as well. Note that prospects do not see your street address or zip code. The zip code in the "Your Business Address" controls what areas you are listed in. We suggest changing the zip code if you are not receiving the area of coverage you want. After changing your zip code, click on "save changes". Now click on "Edit Listing" button again, click on the "Premium" tab, and you will see your coverage areas based on using that zip code. If you feel this is still not adequate coverage, contact our sales department. In most cases for about 10% of the base listing per month, a customer can add a micropolis area or for 20% of the base listing per month, a customer can add a metro area (up to 1.5 million population).
Premium Tab: If you use Gigbuilder routinely, turn on the syndicate Gigbuilder. Turning this feature ON will send you leads from potential clients who visit our partner sites many of which are well ranked by google and not available for general user sign-ups. You can also provide user tools on your listing if you use Gigbuilder, including the client login and browsing a music database for DJs. We suggest adding your own text to the service area. This will better inform your prospects what areas you serve. Leaving this area blank will default to micropolitan and metropolitan areas. The general public is unaware what these terms actually mean. Lastly, provide some detailed company information for prospects to look over. Keep it general so the prospect is wanting to know more by clicking through to your web site. An added bonus for gold members is the QR code. You can even customize where prospects are sent, such as special hidden discount page. QR readers on smartphones can be pointed right at a computer screen and scanned. This provides the prospect the ability to take your information with them and contact you at a later time if they are on the go and pressed for time.
Listing Tab: Choose a type of email referral. We suggest leads only so your mailbox doesn't become full with emails stating that a prospect visited your listing but didn't leave any information to contact them. Select the type of listing page you want. This can greatly assist in getting new leads. We highly suggest using this method and not using the directly to site option. If you belong to any associations, select those in the professional association area. Consider adding text to the company information area. This information will appear next to your company name on search results and listing pages. Remember the key is to entice them to your website. Verify that your website address is correct and use the "Test" button to make sure WeDJ is sending them to the proper page. Provide an email address for a prospect to send any questions they might have about your company. Lastly, specify the event types for which your company has experience with. If a prospect knows you cater to their type of event they are more likely to contact you.
Images/Video Tab: Select an appropriate company image for your listing or upload your own custom image. Should you upload your own image, ensure that it looks correct. We also suggest that the image be clean without a lot going on in the picture. Make use of the image cube by uploading six more images to your listing. They will appear in a carousel on your gateway/information page. Lastly, if you have good quality videos of your work or of you in action, consider embedding up to five YouTube videos.
Social Tab: If you have a Facebook fan page for your business, integrate it with your listing. Having a like box will display the number of people who like your Facebook fan page and a few images of your fans. This really works great as silent word of mouth advertising if you have several fans on your Facebook page. Using the like site will display the number of people who like your company website under your company name on your listing page. Every time somebody clicks it, their wall on Facebook posts your website address.
