The "New Event" form is supposed to be basic information that'll be entered upon first speaking with the potential client/customer.
Event Date: Date of the Event Type of Event: Event types must be created by clicking "Setup / Event Planning / Events"
Prospect Name: Customers first and last name. If this is a previous client, simply click the triangle button beside "Prospect Name:", and start typing the customers last name in the box, and you will be able to simply click the customers name and gigbuilder will automatically fill in the information that is on file.
Organization Name: Business/Organization Name
Telephone Number: Customers' Contact Phone Number
Best time to Call: The best time for the customer to speak to you.
Email Address: The customers valid email address. If you choose to setup automatic emails - this is the email address that the generated emails will be delivered to.
Referred By: Sometimes it's useful to be able to track where a lead came from. You can add choices for the drop-down box by clicking "Setup/Gigbuilder System/Event Defaults" - then locate the "Drop-Down Boxes" section.
Event Time: Self explanitory. Select the starting time, and the duration of the event.
Event Location: If the venue is already in your venue database, you'll simply be able to start typing the name of the venue, and you'll receive live drop-down box with venue's that match what you've typed. If the venue is not already in your venue database - simply type the name of the venue, and you'll be presented with two extra fields asking for city and state of the venue.
Package: Select the package that the customer would like. You can create packages by clicking "Setup/Pricing/Packages".
Select a DJ/Photographer/Videographer: If you have multiple employees - simply select the employee who will cover this event.
People in Attendance: Estimated number of guests
Client Login Password: This is where you have the ability to assign a password for the customer to be able to use the online planning/login link.
